You want your children to excel in the classroom? Just have them focus on the “Three R’s”: Reading, Writing and… Running?
Well, don’t forget arithmetic. But don’t overlook the importance of keeping your child’s body, and not just their brain, fit.
Research involving children and teens showed kids who consistently exercised, also had higher test scores in English, math, and science. Doctors made the bold prediction that 60 minutes of exercise a day could raise test scores by an entire grade.
Many of us think of exercise as a purely outward-focused, but the effects of exercise on our emotions, mind, and body processes can’t be underestimated. Everything—including our ABC’s—functions better when our body is performing better. So keep regular exercise part of the lesson plan for your child.
