SACKed July 21st

If you’ve never participated in the Drive-Thru Difference now is the time! Just print out a SACKed card, then head to the drive-thru to pay for the person’s order behind you! We’ve heard some incredible stories about how a free cup of coffee or a donut has meant the world to someone who feels like the world has lost its kindness.

This week’s SACKed idea is a Shine.FM favorite — the Drive-Thru Difference!  Just print a SACKed card from our website, take it to the drive-thru, and pay for the person’s order behind you!  You could be the reason for a story like this from Debbie:
I wanted to let you know that your station is making a difference in the community.  A cousin of mine decided to “pay it forward” last week after one of the DJs had suggested paying for the person behind you in a take-out line or drive thru.   It ended up really funny because the person she paid for was getting lunch for his whole office and she ended up spending more than she had bargained for, but all of the people involved, including the worker at the drive thru, were all so impressed by that gesture that they were all going to do the same thing later that day for somebody else.  Fantastic!”
It’s just another fun, low-cost way to make a difference in someone’s day!  Call us to share your story at 855-98-SHINE!

Good News: Shine.FM Sacked Story

Every Friday morning 5:30 a.m. Whoever is behind me in line at Dunkin Donuts drive up window I purchase their order and they get a sacked card 🙂 I have seen some pretty tired people that early not to mention on a Friday. I am sure they are looking forward to the weekend and hope this puts them in a little more relaxing mood for the day. God Bless you and your station.

Good News: Drive-Thru Difference Is More Than Free Coffee

A SACKed story from Debbie:  On Feb. 19th I got up late for work. I didn’t have time for breakfast so I thought I would stop at Dunkin Donuts in Highland, IN. Upon getting there I was stopped in the lot trying to find my Dunkin card.  A red car with an RN plate was in front of me at the drive thru. I placed my order, pulled up, opened my door to pay, (my window wasn’t working that day) when the guy told me the lady in the car in front of me paid for my order. I couldn’t believe it. He handed me my stuff and said have a good day. I thanked him, said God Bless you, and drove of in tears. I drove to work that day thanking God for what just happened, and praying blessings for that lady. What started out as a bad day, God used the lady in the red car to show me He loves me and takes care of me. The rest of the day was positive. Thank you Lord, Thank you Shine, and Thank you to the lady in the red car.

Good News: SACKed Makes A Huge Difference

How’s this for a Good News Story!  From Donna, “It is Valentine’s Day. A day of love. My husband and I found out last night that his 61 year old brother had passed away suddenly. I was feeling very sad as I pulled into my local Starbucks for a much needed boost. When I got to the window, I was told that the lady in front of me paid for my coffee and scone and said Happy Valentine’s Day. I can’t express how heart-warming and appreciative I am or express how much this meant to me. We can all make that little gesture from time to time. Happy Valentines Day to the wonderful lady and to all of you.”

Good News: Suspended Coffee

This Good News story reminds me a lot of Drive-Thru Difference (coming up this Friday – don’t miss it!)

Tough economic times and growing poverty in much of Europe are reviving a humble tradition that began some one-hundred years ago in the Italian city of Naples. It’s called caffè sospeso — “suspended coffee”: A customer pays in advance for a person who cannot afford a cup of coffee. It’s an elegant way to show generosity: an act of charity in which donors and recipients never meet each other, the donor doesn’t show off and the recipient doesn’t have to show gratitude.  Read the full story here.  Then, print your Drive-Thru Difference note to get ready for Friday!

It’s Drive-Thru Difference Day!

Good news!  Today is Drive-Thru Difference Day!  As you look in the rear-view mirror in the drive-thru this morning, imagine the look on that person’s face.  You’re about to make their day – and maybe even their week.  It’s amazing how God uses something as small as a free cup of coffee to speak truth.  Get in on the action — and call us to share your story at 855-987-4463!
